The Quote Tag {Day 1}

Hullo, friends! I was tagged by several lovely ladies to do the Quote Tag. Um...it was a long time ago for some of them. *cough* BUT Hamlette just tagged me again this week so it reminded me that I still haven't done it. Thank you, Morgan, Meredith, Hamlette, and anyone else whose tagged me that I've forgotten. (There are SO MANY TAGS, PEOPLES. I CAN'T KEEP THEM STRAIGHT ANYMORE.)

Onto le rules!

I adore quotes so this should be fun. Onward!

Such an interesting analogy. It's so true that we can
develop from the negative things in life. I know they aren't fun
times, but they are ultimately the ones that shape
us into who we are today.

Never be afraid to keep getting "curiouser and curiouser" ^_^

This is truer than you know. We naturally want to harbor
regret and bitterness, but we'll never be able
to truly move forward without letting go of the past.

Seeing as I already broke the rules and used three quotes (psssh, how am I expected to pick just one quote? 'tis unthinkable), I will again bend them be creative and just tag one person. Because I honestly have no clue who's already done this and usually tag the same people anyhow. :P

I tag Savannah at Scattered Scribblings! (Sorry, folks. No link for this one because her blog is protected by fairies...in other words, it's private. ;D) Also, I tag anyone who's finished a book in the last week. That is, if you want to do it. (No pressure, though! I promise I won't send my cat after you.)

What did you think of the quotes? Did you find them thought-provoking? What are some of YOUR favorite quotes? (Oh, and I have a completely unrelated question for you guys: what is your favorite ice cream flavor? I'M OBVIOUSLY HUNGRY RIGHT NOW. XD)

  2. Great quotes, Mary! I really like them! I think the monkey-bars one is my favorite. (No, of course not just because it's by C.S. Lewis--why would you ask?)
Favorite ice cream? Chocolate. #addicted What is yours?
"Protected by fairies." I love it! I'm very happy I'm one of the few lucky ones the fairies let inside. ;)

    1. Hehe, thank you! I like that one a lot, too. (Noooope, that obviously has NOTHING to do with it. ;D)

My favorite ice cream flavor is chocolate chip cookie dough. Oh, and also birthday cake. And cotton candy. Basically just give me every ice cream ever. XD

Aren't I clever? XD I'm so glad to allowed inside, too. ;)

  3. OKAY THESE QUOTES ARE BRILLIANT.

I don't think I've ever seen the camera one. o.o It's genius! I mean, that thing about develop from the negatives. HOW CLEVER. Not to mention inspiring.

You obviously can't go wrong with Walt Disney.

AND C.S. LEWIS. His quotes are ALWAYS my favorites. He packs a punch every. single. time. Seriously, my whole perspective on life has changed because of some of his quotes. He was amazing!

I'm just rambling. But if you can't tell, I really liked these quotes you shared. ;D

As far as ice cream goes...VANILLA. I know, so boring. I'm reeeally picky about my ice cream flavors. (Okay, I'm picky about all food, as much as I love it.) Though I have recently discovered this flavor as Baskin Robbins called Icing on the Cake and...it literally tastes like icing and ice cream mixed together. o.o So yeah. It's amazing. (And now I'm craving ice cream. THANKS, MARY.)

    1. YES, THEY ARE.

Ack, isn't it the BEST? I think that one might be my favorite of the three. (Because yesh, photography!) It's incredibly clever.

      His quotes are ah-may-zing.

I KNOW, RIGHT? C.S. Lewis was absolutely brilliant. He put things in simple enough terms that people can understand them, yet told them in such a way that they completely blow your mind. Incredible.

      RAMBLINGS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME. XD

Vanilla is GREAT! I'm also extreeeemely picky about my food. (Well, except for dessert. I'm pretty open about it if it has plenty of sugar. XD) Ooh, and now you're making me want that Baskin Robbins flavor. O.O BECAUSE ICING. It sounds drool-worthy. (Also, birthday cake is one of my favorite flavors so...yeah.) Bwahaha! YOU'RE WELCOME. ;D

  4. I'm glad you finally got around to it!

These are interesting, especially the last one. I think I've heard that one before... Anyways, good quotes!

Hmmm, I've eaten ice cream three times in the last week, so you'd think I'd be able to answer...chocolate??? Cookie dough? Birthday cake? On second thought, ALL ice cream is good. All of it. Let's just stick with that. :)

      Glad you liked them! :D

ALL ICE CREAM. YES. The perfect answer. ;) Cookie dough and birthday cake are actually my two favorite ice cream flavors! But yeah, if it's ice cream, there's like a 96.7% chance I'll eat it. :P

    2. Quotes ARE a ton of fun! I love me some quotes. *hugs them*

YOU'RE WELCOME! Hehe, elves and fairies *do* make rather good protectors. ;D

SAME. I typically eat "mood food," too. XD It really depends on what flavor I feel like eating at the time. BUT YES, JUST GIMME ALL THE ICE CREAM, PLEASE AND THANK YOU.

  6. Ooh, this are all awesome quotes! One of my favorite quotes, apart from Bible verses, is this: "friends are like quilts. they live pieced together, stitched with smiles and tears, colored with memories, and bound by love." I'm not sure who wrote it -- I just saw it framed on a wall at a friend's house long ago. :)

As for my favorite ice-cream flavor, LEMON SORBET ALL THE WAY. Wait, that's not an ice-cream, it's a... sorbet. :P My favorite ice-cream then would have to be cookies and cream? Or basically ANYTHING WITH REESES. Yum, yum, yum. <3

  8. These are some good picks! I love quotes. ^ ^ I like so many I have an entire Pinterest board devoted to them. XD Some of my favorites are from C.S. Lewis, Madeline L'Engle, and Vincent Van Gogh. One of my favorite quotes from Van Gogh is "If I'm worth something later, I'm worth something now. For a tree is a tree even if it looks like grass in the beginning." That one hits me in a deep place.
