Book Photo Shoot ~ Part 2

I promised you guys that I would share some more pictures from my book photo shoot...so here they are! (Well, technically I took these pictures afterwards. Because I couldn't resist all the books. :P)

Of course, my throat decided it would be fun to get sore in the middle of June so these pictures miiiight not be as good as last time? BECAUSE ALL MY BODY WANTED TO DO WAS COLLAPSE IN BED. These were, for the most part, shot with my camera today because I wanted to get the pictures taken before my sore throat developed into anything else. THUS WHY THEY MAY BE WORSE. But oh well. You guys get what you get. ;)

Allll the green.

I apparently love my Alice in Wonderland book,
rose petals, and children's books. DO NOT JUDGE.

...And more green. I guess I have more green
books than I thought.

My LotR collection! Isn't it beautimous?

There you have it! Twenty glorious photographs by yours truly. ^_^ I evidently love black-and-white photos. But also colorful things. Heh.

Well, what did you think? Which one do you like the best? (Yes, I'm making you choose. *cackles evilly*) And do you usually prefer black-and-white or color pictures? Let me know in the comments!

  1. More gorgeous book photos by Mary! *falls headlong into a pile of pictures* Seriously, girl, you're so good at this! And I loooove all the green-themed arrangements. But what can I say? Green is one of my favorite colors. ^_^

I was going to mention it in your first book photoshoot post, but your "life is an adventure" notebook? I WANTS IT. IT'S PWETTY. AND ADVENTURESOME. But *cough* I don't steal notebooks. Nope. I'm a nice person, promise. XD

Oh no, a sore throat? Feel better soon, darling! <3

    1. D'awww, you're SO sweet! Thanks muchly! I obviously have more green books than I thought. I anticipated having maaaaybe five or six of them, but I just kept finding more green ones as I scoured my shelves. :P Maybe I should do a blue-themed one next...

ISN'T IT BEAUTIMOUS?! I won it in a giveaway my friend Morgan hosted recently. ^_^ And I'm glad you don't steal notebooks, Tracey. (Or do you...? *smiles nervously*)

      Thank you, dear! <3

  2. Color pictures. Definitely. Black and white can be quite pretty too though. . . In case you didn't notice, I'm HORRIBLE at picking favorites! :)
But the LotR one is most decidedly my favorite, because. . . LOTR!! You have an Evenstar necklace? Aren't they awesome? I have one too. My brother gave it to me for Christmas. True love, right? ;)
I'm sorry you're not feeling well! I'm praying it doesn't develop into anything worse!
Is the book in the sixth picture down a version of Snow White?

    1. Hehe, I'm not very good at picking favorites myself. :D

YESSSS, PRECIOUS, LOTR. And I do! (I'm actually wearing it right now. ;D) Hurrah for brothers and Evenstar pendants!

      Awww, thank you, Hanna! <3

And yup, it is. It's called The Fairest Beauty (by Melanie Dickerson) and is a retelling of Snow White. I thought it was good, though perhaps not my favorite of that author's tales. Would still recommend it, though!

    2. Interesting! I think I've heard of Melanie Dickerson before, but I can't remember where.
P.S. I hope I'm not bothering you with all my comments. I. . . don't often pass up a chance to fangirl. ;)

    3. You should check out her books! They aren't everyone's thing, but I really enjoy them. :)

Psssh, don't even give it another thought. Fangirling is like my native language, and I relish every chance I get to practice. ;D

    4. Okay, good! ;) That's my favorite thing about your blog--it's one big fangirling! I can't tell you how much time I've spent just scrolling through your posts!
I might do that. I don't read many fairytale re-tellings, but I've enjoyed a lot of the ones I have!

    5. *whispers* Hanna, I would advise you read Melaine Dickerson's 'The Captive Maiden'. I like that one *nods*.

    6. Interesting. . . Is it a re-telling of something, or an original story?

      Delete
    7. It's a Cinderella retelling - one I really enjoyed! I think I've read ... oh, four or so of Melaine Dickerson's retellings, and The Captive Maiden might be my favorite.

    8. Hanna,

D'awww, you are so sweet, girl! THANK YOU! *hugs* That just makes my day. :D And yes, I do fangirl a lot. ;)

Oh my goodness, these are absolutely BEAUTOMOUS!! I could stare at them ALL the livelong day *nods*. You definitely didn't lose any picture-taking talent in your sickness, that's for sure :D. (also, I'll be praying for you! Sore throats are not fun.)

I AM VERY MUCH LOVING YOUR COPY OF THE HOBBIT. It's just the cutest thing! AND THE LOTR PICTURE. Oh my, I think that one might be my favorite out of all the pictures just because LOTR. Is that a Gandalf globe? If it is I NEEDS ONE oh yes my precious *nods*.

I prefer the color pictures because they are colorful. Aren't I so infinity wise. *nods sagely*

  6. Lovely pictures, Mary. :) I would say that the one filled with green books (with Shadowhand in the middle) is my favorite. I just love all the delicious color coordination! ^_^

And I love color photos the best, I think. Though it really depends... black and white (especially if the picture is very crisp) is beautiful, too. :)

    1. Awww, thank you, Emily! I love that one, too. I have a bit of an obsession with color-coordination. *cough*

It's really hard to choose, isn't it? I maaay like b&w a little better, but I also adore all the colorful things. So I guess both? Yes, let's go with both. ;D

  7. AAAAHH YAY I LOVE THEMMM! :D Hmm, my favorite is the first one with the globe/old books aaaand the one with The Fairest Beauty (that was one of my favorites! ...Probably because it's the first Melanie Dickerson I read. ;)). :D ALSO OH MY GOODNESS YOU HAVE A ONE RING ON A CHAIN AND ARWEN'S NECKLACE SO COOOOOL!!! ^_^ I think I like colorful pictures more, BUT sometimes black and white ones are perfect. :D I'm sooo sorry you're not feeling well though. 1. GAH, YOU ARE SO SWEET, GIRL!!! Those are both good choices. (But aren't they all? ;D) I do really like how The Fairest Beauty picture turned out. ^_^ AND YES, I DO. THEY ARE MY PRIZED POSSESSIONS. *pets them*

Both so beautiful in their own way. I kind of vacillate between the two.

AWW, THANKS MUCHLY! *huggles you through the screen so as not to transmit germs* Hopefully this nasty cold will go away soon.

Uh, what do you mean may be worse? THESE ARE SO GORGEOUS I CAN'T.

Lovin' all the green! Green is such a peaceful colors. It's probably my favorite color after pink! :D

Alice in Wonderland, rose petals, and children's books are three of the BESTEST things in the universe, okay!

YOUR LOTR COLLECTION. *DROOOOLS* I'm probably being biased but that's my favorite pic! And I have the One Ring on a chain toooo. Some friends got it for me a million years ago (aka for my 16th birthday) and I loveth it so much. Also IS THAT A GANDALF SNOW GLOBE??? :O :O :O I NEED. I've always loved snow globes and THAT'S A LOTR ONE. *dies*

I don't think I have a preference over black and white vs. colored photos. It just depends on the photo for me.

If you can't tell, I LOVED THESE. You need to do moooore.

I'm so sorry your throat is sore! I hope you get better very, very soon. *huggles*

Gosh, how are you so niiiice? *HUGS*

It IS very peaceful! I apparently happen to have a lot of it on my bookshelves, though it isn't even one of my personal favorite colors. (Blue is still meh fave! :D)

YES, THEY ARE. Which means a combination of the three, when photographed by yours truly, makes perfection. ;D (Ha, I seem to alternate between self-deprecating and self-esteeming humor. WHAT IS WITH MY BRAIN?)

IT'S BEAUTIFUL, ISN'T IT?! Eeeep, twinsies! I love my Ring...it is precious to me. (I actually wore it yesterday, as a matter of fact.) AND YES, THAT IS A GANDALF SNOW GLOBE. YOU NEED IT. YOU REALLY NEED IT RIGHT NOW.

I suppose it does depend for me as well. I love both of them almost the same. :)

I shall endeavor to do another post like this in the future. Sheesh, you guys are always so demanding... ;D

Thank youuuu! I hope it goes away soon. ^_^
